My Saturday

So, I just posted about meal planning.
Just to prove I do what I say. I browned 3.5 lbs of ground beef for Taco Bake on Tuesday and for Spaghetti on Wednesday.
I also bought 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts that were on sale for $1.49 a lb, so that was $6.53.
With the chicken I tried a new recipe, I don’t normally do a recipe like this one since the recipe made two meals. But when looking up the recipe I was pretty confident we would like it. The ingredients in it were things we like, so I tried it.

It will be for next weeks menu so I’ll let you know then how it turned out.

I was fortunate I have everything else I needed for this weeks menu already in my freezer. So I took the opportunity to buy the chicken to prep for other meals. That is the goal to meal planning to be able to buy the meat when it’s the cheapest to help save money.
